Ruth
The Book of Ruth tells the story of a widow, a foreigner, and a farmer. Throughout the book, Ruth makes many of what seem to be ordinary decisions, but God blessed those decisions to quietly accomplish extraordinary redemption.
The Book of Ruth is set during the chaotic time of the Judges (one of the darkest times in Israel's history), and how a bright light (Ruth) is shining through the darkest of places.
This story shows how God often works through unnoticed faithfulness, loyal love, and seemingly mundane decisions to accomplish His greatest purposes.
What looks like ordinary loyalty between people becomes the very path God uses to bring restoration, lineage, and ultimately the line of King David--and Jesus.
We encourage everyone to read the Book oof Ruth sometime in July.
